Why did I wait all these years !!!

I never thought I would ever want a stand up mixer because of them taking up so much room. I bought my daughter one last year for Christmas and she loves it..... so I got one. Workhorse of a mixer

This is my second Kitchenaid mixer...and the first one is still in top form after more than 10 years of use! I can't imagine any other brand standing up to the use and still performing like new, so when it was time to get one for our winter home, it was an easy choice. It's the best for dough as I am a dedicated home baker. It's a beautiful color and looks great on my kitchen counter.

Loving my Artisan Stand Mixer!

This machine, and all the various attachments, are a wonderful addition to our kitchen. I've had it about 2 years now and have never once had a doubt about it. It's beautiful, versatile and makes cooking and baking more enjoyable. I'm slowly working at getting all the major attachments. :) Choosing the colour was the most difficult decision, fantastic options. Of course we renovated our kitchen recently and it no longer matches, but I won't give it up! I'm only sorry I waited so long to get one!

We finally replaced our kitchenaid mixer that's older than we are! We got the 5quart tilt head mixer and it works really well for double batches of cookies, shredding freshly cooked chicken, whipping eggs for meringues and making pizza dough. The clear shield with the pour spout is handy as well since the mixer doesn't have lots of space to pour into the bowl unless the head is in the upright position. I like that the mixing blades are dishwasher safe as well.

Works well. One complaint is that the beater attachment supplied should be the one with the wiper edge. That one is essential and the one supplied is almost useless. Also, the bottom of the bowl is stained after just the first use and won't wash off. It is extremely heavy and is a pain unless you want to leave it out on the counter all the time

Great machine with tiny gripes

This seems like a solid machine. I've used it twice now and am very happy with it. 2 things that prevented a 5 star. 1st. At the lowest 2 speed it sounds... off? As soon as i leave those speeds it sound/works great. 2nd. Tiny thing - the splash guard almost just sits on top - it sorta/almost snaps on. Pretty flimsy. If the sound at low speeds turns out to be normal/machine is still working fine in 6 months, I will up my rating to 6 stars.

Love KitchenAid stand mixers

This is my second mixer; first one was a 'bowl lift'. It works fine but I gave that to my daughter as she did not have one. The price on this was very good. I have the pasta attachments, spiralizer, vegetable sheet cutter. I am going to purchase the flex edge beater.

Standard Mixer perfection!

My home base is myKitchen 7/25/2019

It's just what you want your standard mixer to be: sturdy, versatile, and a big bowl for many ingredients. Easy to use. Settings are straight-forward. The attachments are too pricey, so I will sadly only be purchasing one in the future (the pasta option). I understand it replaces other countertop items, but the mixer is not known for its attachments as it is as a standard mixer. I would be interested to know if attachments work just as well, i.e. spiral shreddar or juicer. My mom has had the same one for a couple of decades and it still works fine (she bakes a lot... at least twice a week). I would recommend.

I had one years ago and then bought the pro series. While very powerful, it always bothered me that the head did not tilt and basically to get the beater off, you had to let it drop into the batter - messy! Also, for the kind of baking I do the smaller Artisan fits the bill. I am moving to a new house and the cinnamon colour will really look phenomenal in my new kitchen.

(Majestic yellow) Used it endlessly!p It is still going strong, passed it off to my son and got one in cinnamon red - LOVE the colour! Also treated myself to a big Pro600 when it was irresistibly priced at the Bay before Christmas and enjoyed the 100 yr anniversary rebate. That one gets hauled out for big batch jobs - the deep red one stays on the counter. They both work beautifully - cannot think of one "con"

Mother's Day Gift

As an avid baker and cook, I have coveted the Kitchenaid Stand mixer for years but had always done everything by hand. Due to some health issues, my family purchased this for me for Mother's Day! I quickly began to put it to the test beginning with batches of cookies and cakes, dessert loaves, which went fairly well. However, upon making a dough for a single bread loaf or pizza dough, I had immediate concerns about the lid lock mechanism sliding to the unlocked position every minute or so, resulting in my having to stand and physically hold down the top of the machine to prevent it from unlocking and jerking open. I find it odd that the speed toggle is notched to avoid the machine from moving unintentionally from one speed to the next, yet he locking mechanism doesn't have the same feature. It certainly took away the joy of what a stand mixer represents (hands free) to have to manually hold down the top of the machine (which gets quite hot) and move the toggle back to the locked position every 30-60 seconds while kneading even a relatively soft dough. This also causes the machine to work much harder, and heat that much more than it already would when handling this task which is it is apparently supposed to be able to handle (and the recipe was less than 3 cups of flour). I'm uncertain if this is a defect in my machine or an issue with all of them. I'd have rated it a 5 had I not run into this issue, but unfortunately have to reduce my rating because of this. I'm really disappointed and am hoping there is a solution.

Artisan 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer

This is my second stand mixer from KitchenAid. I had the 6 quart pro series but it took up way too much room on my counter top. Love this new mixer; it fits nicely in the corner when not being used and is easy to bring forward to use. I'm amazed at how quiet it is and the size is perfect for every day use.

Such a workhorse and a time saver when I can let it blend or cream ingredients while I prep the rest of recipe. My only complaint....is that it is difficult to add other ingredients, even with the plastic pour top on, or even if I lift the motor up. Company was great in quickly replacing my first one when the motor broke at first use. And I'm looking forward to using attachments as soon as I can afford them. Overall, I am very happy with my kitchen assistant :-)

I had a 4.5 Qt kitchen aid mixer that was over 45 years old, a hand me down form my mother in law. I renovated my kitchen and bought this beautiful Cinnamon Gloss 5 QT machine to show case on my counter. It is really powerful. In its first week, it made 8 lbs of meatballs, one meat loaf, 3 cakes and 5 pairs of pizza dough recipes! This machine is not only really pretty it is a work horse. I just bought the spiralizer attachment! Can't wait to try it
