I chose this model because I wanted the quietest mixer we could get with multiple loaves of bread capacity. Having spent the 4 days of Thanksgiving cooking and baking with it, I can say so far it is an excellent mixer. I have made breads and pies now with little work on my part, I would highly recommend this mixer. It's also really quiet compared to the other models I have used.

Definitely worth the price

I purchased about a month ago and I couldn't be happier. I am still getting used to the lift stand but I am sure that won't take long. I have never owned a KitchenAid mixer and I am so happy purchased this model. I made my first double batch of oatmeal cookies with the new mixer. In my old mixer I was reaching maximum bowl capacity with a double batch and I had to fold in the oatmeal by hand because my mixer couldn't handle it. With the KitchenAid the double batch didn't even fill in half the bowl and adding the oatmeal was no problem. Oh my gosh what a difference. I told everyone at work next time I bring in cookies I'll make a triple batch because I can. I wish I would have purchased a KitchenAid sooner.

Comes through for big and little jobs!

I have this now at least 7 years and bake my own bread, have daughters who make everything from scratch and, we all find this comes through for whipping, batters, doughs and more! We have purchased a second bowl so we can be rising dough and still use it for other yummy things. It is heavy and does not drift across the counter, make noise or shut down when being used for long periods of time. The different hooks and beaters pop in and out and stay firmly in place without dislodging when in use. Cleaning is not hard in a the sink with a brush and toothpick for serious cleaning sessions and we have found the finish lasts, too. All in all, this is one tough machine! We used the replacement service and have found the representatives to be friendly and efficient. A replacement came in a matter of days with a free return - and wonder of wonders our warranty started all over again! So, after exhausting and frustrating adventures with hand held machines and other brands we are sticking with KitchenAid!

Replacing my old Kitchenaid

Bought the proline 7qt to replace my professional 6. I bought my 6qt over 10 years ago at a thrift store needed to replace it. The proline is quieter then my old one. I like the larger bowl. I love the ease of mixing pizza dough and cookie dough. Works the same as the 6 qt but the 7qt has a larger motor and larger bowl.

I had the smaller stand mixer and it was great for making cookies as a newlywed. As my kids got older (and had more friends over), I needed more cookies and more pizza dough. I got so frustrated with my smaller mixer because I would double a recipe and it would come up over the top. With this bigger mixer, I double the recipe and there's tons of leeway space! I love it! Thankful Kitchenaid grows with my family!!

Replaced My Original which was a Pro 6

Have not had a chance to use the mixer. My other Kitchen Aid-Pro 6 was purchased many years ago and is still going strong. Concerned, it might soon die so decided to purchase the 7 Qt. Pro Line Series. When I start my marathon cookie baking in November, I will be able to give a better review. I am disappointed that the accessories are not stainless.

Heavy duty, easy to use, effective mixer

We previously had the smaller KitchenAid mixer but wanted the larger capacity and the bowl lifting and lowering capacity. I got to experience using one at the Culinary Institute of America Pastry Boot Camp where these mixers are used in their classrooms. We already appreciate the sturdy construction, ease of use and mixing ability of this larger model.

I bought this for pizza dough, as off last night I have used it for 4 batches. Typical batch of 1.5 kg 60% hydration no problem, a minor tick but nothing like mentioned in other reviews. Last night I did a 4.8 kg total weight 60% hydration pizza dough initial mix was easy and no spillage or flour flying out of bowl, the system did struggle after first 10minute rest, was hoping for a little more umph, but was able to keep up and click was minor, over all quiet and does a good job.

Awesome mixer!

I am a novice baker but I knew that I would heavily use the various attachments so I wanted a mixer with a decent amount of power. I chose this because of the horsepower. I was concerned about the fact that has a 7qt container. But I noticed that a couple of reviews mentioned using small containers. I purchased the 3qt and 5qt container and they both work great for smaller batches. I also purchased it because of the 5 yr warranty that I initially overlooked when I compared to the Professional 600. My mixer is Soooo quiet. There is definitely a difference in the hardware on this machine in comparison to the 600. So far I've made bread, cookies, and veggie wraps with the sheet attachment and it handles everything so well so far. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Not as convinced as I wanted to be

I've owned KitchenAid mixers (and other products) for decades and love all of them. This is my third mixer. I like the speed at which the whisk whips up cream and egg whites. But it is very noisy and I find that distracting and annoying. Batter does not mix as well as my old 6-quart model. Thinking of giving this away and going back to the 6-quart mixer.

Love my new mixer!

I upgraded to the 7qt lift stand mixer because my 4.5 qt mixer couldn't easily handle the double batches of cookies I regularly make for my son's taproom. It is amazing and makes baking such a joy. I haven't regretted it for a single moment! Now I have 2 Kitchenaid stand mixers!

Strong Mixer with lots of power

I picked this up on mother's day at Sue Le Table, since I was looking for a stronger version of my 5 quart kitchenaid tillt head mixer. It runs incredibly quite for the power it has. Also the power deliver is very controlled and the machine gradually increases or decrease power for the motor not to labor. It is great for heavy dough. I am also using it to emulsify home made sausages and it can do it like a champ, while I only have to turn it to 5. I am giving it 4 stars only because it come with a coated beater and dough hook. Would have been great if such a sturdy professional machine came with Stainless Steel utensils.

This model works so well when baking large batches. It can make a 4x-recipe of heavy cookie dough with no straining. We use the meat grinder a lot and this unit doesn't heat up even when grinding 20 pounds of meat.

Great mixer

I make all the bread we eat, much baking and cooking and grind our meat. I've had this mixer a month and it's performance is amazing. There is a downside I would LOVE to have corrected- a horrible clicking noise as it mixes in rhythm with the beater....very annoying plus I worry machine will break down otherwise I would score 5. If it breaks down a 1.
