Sleek, stylish and takes up very little space!

I bought this a year and a half ago, but did not have the opportunity to install this until a month ago. The installation was not easy, and the instructions were convoluted. It took a finish carpenter and my spouse 4 hours to get this in. But, once installed, it has been a fabulous finishing feature to our renovated kitchen. It takes up so little room, provides excellent lighting, and does an equally excellent job in venting the cooktop. It is not outrageously noisy. The pull-out glass hood extender does its job very well to keep steam/moisture front the cabinets this is installed in/under.

Amazingly quiet!

I am very pleased with this hood. I have a smaller kitchen and didn't want a big hood that would overwhelm the room. It is easy to pull out, looks great and it removes smoke and odors quickly and quietly. You can hardly hear it.

My husband installed this a month and a half ago. We haven't had it completely up and running for long though since he wasn't aware that we needed an extra filter kit to recirculate the air into the room since my stove isn't near a wall. It took 2 days shy of a month for that to arrive. I have no complaints, it works well and looks nice in my kitchen. I just wish the lighting was in a slightly different location since it's bright on the back of my stove and darker at the front where I cook most often. I really do like it though.

Sleek and beautiful!

I love this vent. It slides back out of the way when not in use and isn't an eyesore. It's fairly quiet even with the vent on the highest setting. The lights are great. So glad I went with this model.

Concept of unit is good. However, if you are under 5' 6" tall, you would have difficulty turning the fan on because the hood has to slide out making it difficult to reach over the fully extended hood to reach the buttons for the fan. The lights can be turned on without extending the hood.

Never thought I'd call a kitchen fan "beautiful"..

...but this one is. All our friends who come to look at our new kitchen are simply wowed by this fan and the way it works. Expensive? Yes. Awkward to fit? Yes. Elegant Slim Design

We had it installed just a few weeks ago (8/2018). First of all, the design is just fantastic looking. It gives an elegant look to our kitchen layout. The hood vent has enough air suction power (400 cfm). Note that the bulk of the vent design is hidden into the upper cabinet but that is just fine with us. Template cutouts are provided and you will definitely need two person to install the vent.

small and attractive addition

We really like this compact and efficient fan. The lights adjust high and low, as well as the adjustments on the fan. It looks sleek and modern. We're glad it's now installed and it's been working fine. The most frustrating part was in getting it. This is the third one shipped; the first two came smashed. But now that it's in, it's great.

Beautiful and strong ventahood!

This replaced a 17 year old GE of similar design, but this new Kitchen Aid is much better and so easy to use! The design is gorgeous and the halogen lights have two levels of brightness and make my kitchen shine like new. The fan has four speeds and does a fantastic job of drawing up the air. I love the way this vent hood seems to almost disappear and then makes a stunningly beautiful appearance and goes right to work. Highly recommend this product!!

Love it once installed!

I was looking for an elegant, quiet, yet powerful hood and this fits the bill 100%. Just have to be height aware, if I was more petite, I would need a remote to operate the fan speeds since the hood must be part way down to adjust it. The instructions were terrible. Had you cutting what you don't need and the screws were all wrong let alone trying to understand how to assemble the brackets that hold the vent up. Yes, the instructions were were many times and rechecked on the net and website. Very difficult and confusing. But the product once in place is a work of art!

Replaced the previous vent while upgrading the kitchen. This vent fit in the existing opening. It works well. Do need to be careful to not hit your head on the edges when it is fully extended.

I love the fact that you don't really know it is there until you need to use it. Sound/noise level is reasonable. Lighting is good. Understand, you will lose the cabinet above your range to the mechanical parts so don't plan in advance to store anything there. You won't. Regardless, love the style and functionality.

Sleek, Easy to Use Hood!

I love the sleek design of this hood! A funnel-like hood would have been over powering in our small kitchen. This sleek hood slides out and does the job. Lighting and fan settings are easy to set. The filter does need cleaning frequently, but thanks to the design, it's a breeze to wash it and put it back in place. I highly recommend this product.
