After a month of use my wife is pleased with the choice of the Maytag dryer. We replaced a 12 year old dryer that broke down after several repair efforts. Clothes dry much faster with this Maytag than with the old machine. We chose this model because of the downward opening door. It offers a convenient shelf to place clothes when loading and unloading. This is a great mid-range dryer that is solid choice in our opinion.

I like a front door that opens down and I like the vent screen in the dryer rather than on the top as many are. This one has both. It drys very quickly without wrinkles. I do think the top is a little flimsy and the touch buttons are a little fussy. It also will not start without cleaning the screen. I am overall pleased with my purchase.

We bought this dryer a few weeks ago. It is wonderful. We didn't realize how poorly the old dryer operated until we tried this one. The capacity is huge...a king sized comforter easily fits in. The window and the hamper door are really handy. I did have to call customer service once about the dryer not starting. I had to unplug the machine and plug it back in. Evidently it needed to be rebooted. A bit disappointing after using it only a few weeks. But it works great!

this is pretty much like the whirlpool dryer I bought 12 years ago, only $300 more. like the other one it lets "a lot" of lint get passed the screen into the vent duct. it also sucks the dryer sheets in around the lint screen grill. not ideal.

We've been using this for a little over a month and really like it. It replaced a 15-year-old dryer that died...and I didn't quite realize how bad the old dryer was performing until we used this a few times! There are plenty of useful settings. It dries things quickly even larger loads. I also really like the door - it opens downward instead of swinging out to the side. The only downside so far - and it's minor - is that the top of the dryer is not flat. It has a slope so things will slide off. Our laundry room doesn't have the most space, so we use the top of the dryer to help fold clothes. It's harder with the slope.

VERY solidly built. Two main cricisms- the lint screen is poorly positioned and allows the link to fall back down into the machine when you remove it to clean it. Seems like a potential fire hazard. Also, clothes seem to come out of it with an odd smell. Doesn't matter if I use dryer sheets or not. On the plus side, it's very easy to use and has some great features.

QUICK DRYING AND EASY TO USE

We bought this dryer about a month ago and I love it! The only issue I have with it is the button to actual start the dryer. Not the power button but the start/pause button. It takes me several attempts each time to get it to start. That gets a little aggravating but overall it's a great product that will hold large loads and dry them quickly.

refreshingly wonderful

We bought this last summer when our old machines actually died!! We looked and purchased on Saturday. They delivered and installed on Tuesday. The machines worked perfectly and my load was cleaner than ever. Easy controls - not too noisy - wrinkle control really works. It took me a couple of loads to realize that I needed it. I particularly like the sensor for water level and the capacity. I can a tiny load or a giant load of bedding. The sensor takes over and uses just the correct amount of water and settings to wash the load perfectly without waste. I would definitely recommend this pair to anybody.

Maytag Large capacity dryer with intellidry sensor
