I am enjoying the perfectly clean results from each use and appreciate the energy saving features. However, I am disappointed in the lack of flexibility in loading different sizes of objects. Cereal/salad and mixing bowls fit awkwardly. There are no options.

I only used the dishwasher once and it did a good cleaning of the dishes and was quiet to run. My complaint is with the silverware basket. It doesn't have slotted covers for the entire basket. You have a large unusable space in the middle of the basket. The slots are great for preventing nesting of the silverware.

I needed to replace a dishwasher that I had for 15 years which finally had it's last run. I purchased the Whirlpool stainless steel dishwasher with the intent to save water and have a more efficient dishwasher than I had previously had. So far so good, the only thing I wanted to use was the feature :sensor washing. This feature I used on the first day had taken 3:35 min to wash. that is a long time.It said it would readjust itself if the load was not dirty enough. I just put dishes that were in my cabinet that I had hand washed for weeks to test it out. Need less to say the came clean glasses were cleaner(since I had washed especially if you drink milk leaves a film.) I tried other cycles and some of the cycles are about 2 to 2.50 hrs long. Didn't get to try the 1hr wash yet. To me it sounds like a rinse and hold cycle. But information stated say some 1hr washes cycles don't allow detergent. But very quiet!!!!!!!! don't even know it is running. Just make sure you read the directions on what cycles are best for your overall needs on cleaning your dishes.

New machine delivered-pinholes in discharge hose

Although we purchased this machine on July 11, it still sits useless in the middle of our kitchen. When used for the first and only time, water leaked from pinholes in the discharge hose and damaged our wooden floor and kitchen cabinet. Eatontown Appliances has promised to compensate for the floor repair, repair the "new" machine", and reinstall the machine in its place, but the repairman has of yet been unable to locate a match for the existing floor boards. The dishwasher has been removed from its location to allow for floor repair and sits in the middle of our vacation home. Thus far this has been less than a "vacation" and indeed a stressful situation. Our hope is that Whirlpool will stand good on their damaged product and work with Eatontown TV Audio and Appliances.

Great except for cleaning on top rack

The only thing I don't care for is the fact that the cereal bowls must be rinsed off really well or they don't all get clean on the top rack. Also, can I use environmentally friendly pods and rinse aid instead of Cascade? I really don't like the smell of Cascade. Also, my old dishwasher held more. The main reason I bought this one was because it came in bisque to match my existing appliances. Also, the title says 1-Hour Wash Cycle... it actually is more like two and a half to three hours. It is very quiet though. And, except for what I mentioned, I like it.

Extremely Quiet! Love the bisque color.

I have been using this dishwasher for about 2 weeks. So far I absolutely love it. The main reason I chose this dishwasher was because I wanted to replace my current 17 year old one with another one that came in a bisque color and also because this one had some good reviews. I do not like the stainless steel colors. This dishwasher is so quiet that you can't hear it running. It does a fantastic job on my dishes and looks very nice in my kitchen with my other bisque appliances. I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone. I like the Whirlpool name and have always been happy with this brand.

I miss the rinse cycle that was on my previous model. I don't have to wash dishes but twice a week and I miss not being able to rinse them after each time I put something in the machine. Also why can't the option to dry the dishes go with the one-hour cycle. I also miss the silverware container being in the door. It opens up a lot more room in the main part of the dish washer.

We just recently bought this new dishwasher. The first time we used it, I was totally sold on it! It looks great, it's as quiet as other high priced models, and has all the features we want!

Almost, but not quite, the same as what we had

We have this dishwasher as an extended warranty replacement. It's ok. It gets the dishes clean. However, it is a model down from the one it replaced. Apparently, Whirlpool no longer makes the one we had and it would have cost more to repair the leaky seal it had than to give us this one. This washer is louder than the one we had. It has less room in the lower rack owing to the fact that this model doesn't have the silverware rack mounts on the door. It does have one additional cycle that the older model did not have. According to the service technician that installed it, this one will have the same leaky seal problem in the end because Whirlpool hasn't changed the design. Further, it will be just as expensive to repair because Whirlpool has not changed the design to make it more fixable. It's a throwaway world and it makes me sad. However, this dishwasher is better than having to run the old dishwasher several times and still finding dirty dishes or that the soap didn't dissolve because the water leaked out onto the subfloor.

A few questions

I love the new dishwasher but have a few questions. How can I tell when the rinse agent needs to be refilled? It's hard to see. Also, when I set the cycle to normal which should have been 2 hours and 21 minutes, it ran for three hours and 23 minutes which is the heavy cycle. Thanks.

So quiet

I've had this about a month and love it. Dishwasher gets things really clean, uses less water and electricity on the longer cycles, and is so quiet that I hardly know it's running.

Cleans thoroughly

I bought this dishwasher as a replacement for our 14 year old machine. This one actually cost less and is quieter than the old one. It also has a stainless interior and is easy to load. All items were cleaned completely. It also is efficient with water use.
