Great but touchy

Closet fit with no flat cord?

I bought this because I wanted to fit it into a fairly tight area. The 31.5" depth is great, why do they ship it without a flat cord? The plug sticks out 3-4" which prevents me from installing it in a tight place. Don't buy this if you need it to sit close to the wall.
